5 Saturday Workshop Series focusing on Yamas
Yoga, according to Pantanjali’s Yoga Sutra (The Science of Yoga), is an eightfold path.

The first one is called Yamas, a collection of ethical practices often referred to as “restraints” that pertain to the yogi’s way of living in the world. It provides the moral principles for the practitioner to consider. The intention is to help cultivate meaningful, honest, and healthy relationships leading toward the fulfillment of our dharma, or life purpose.

There are 5 Yamas. We will spend 5 Saturdays going through them. During each class, I will guide you through a 75 min traditional asana practice with emphasis on breath and alignment, followed by savasana and some pranayama breathing exercises. Then, I will introduce the 5 yamas, focusing on one each week. Class will end with an open discussion. Everyone is welcome to share their thoughts, but you can just listen in as well.
